People are always pragmatic in the long run. Gandhigiri has certianly provided one more avenue of doing things that most people can afford but it has to produce tangible resutls quickly otherwise it will be adondoned. I don't believe there is an appetite for patience in many people and full beleif in Gandhi's way of life. However, I pray to be prooven wrong...
